Street Party
A visit to St. Lucia is not complete until you visit the Friday street party locally called ‘The Jump up’ in Gros Islet. This is a loud event where everyone drinks and dances until the early morning. This is a five minute drive from Akasha. Other events which are worth visiting are Anse-La-Raye Seafood Friday and Dennery’s Fish Saturday.

There are several good coffee shops in Rodney Bay Marina. Cafe Ole, in the marina where you can sit and watch the boats sail in and moor. Right next door there is Starfish and Elena’s which also offer light meals and fresh fish. Plus the refurbished B&B which offers you an alternative. All also serve drinks. Rituals, in Rodney Bay where you can sit and people watch. Rituals also offer wine and cheese! For those who need it most of the coffee shops have free wireless internet.
